Alchemy Music

To create 'Alchemy' and the new album, Julie-Ann has again teamed up with Gypsy Rose lead guitarist, John ‘Willow’ Williamson. To produce and engineer the tracks, they sought the expert assistance of the widely-respected Jim Moginie (ex. Midnight Oil), and the trio’s work deftly charts nuanced and inspired aural landscapes.

'One thing leads to another' features new material, some previously recorded tracks that have been re-arranged and a few specially selected covers. The album has been described as "Meadow Rock" and crosses many musical genres, including country, folk, roots, jazz and more. A bold collection of songs, with a few subtle and thoughtful meanderings that will leave you inspired and uplifted!

Alchemy is a compelling live act, driven by an extraordinary and seductive vocal quality and lush melodies. Alchemy is a golden myriad of influences that always leaves their audiences wanting more!

One thing leads to another

Here are 12 diverse compositions: intimately soulful and pouring forth a magical energy that resists easy categorisation. At times it brings to mind the legendary folk artists from the halcyon 1960s and ‘70s, such as Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny, Tim Buckley and Fred Neil. At other times - Emmy- Lou Harris and Eva Cassidy, as well as recalling the great blue-eyed soul singers ……Jackie de Shannon, Dusty Springfield.
